I started writing when I was 9. It was my way of coping with the tragic abuse in my home. I've always enjoyed getting lost in my books. It is my goal to share my life's experiences through my stories about enduring problems, failing at life and then coming out strong at the end. But is there really an end? I hope you can feel the strength in my characters as they grow!

Write Here In Ephraim (writers conference in UT), I participated in an author panel. In the panel, an awesome writer had asked what got us into writing. When it was my turn to answer, I said that growing up in an abusive home drove me to escaping through my writing. My intention for saying this--and I'm not ashamed to admit --is because I know how it feels to be belittled and useless. I am not bitter about my past but grateful.
The only thing that makes me bitter is the knowledge that kids are still abused!
I've reinvented my parenting, I've reinvented my confidences, and I've reinvented myself.
My point is that, yes, even after being subjected to this awfulness throughout my entire childhood, HAPPINESS is rightfully yours. I am a published author. SUCCESS is rightfully yours.
It is PROBABLE as well as POSSIBLE to break these hellish chains and become a strong and happy person! ♥
