Willard is a former Cold War Supervillain, American writer and tabletop RPG creator living in Oregon. Husband, father, US Army veteran, he’s been everything from a construction worker to bartender to unemployed jackass. A child of the Cold War, that and his experiences in the military and afterwards as a disabled veteran show through in his writing style.
During his career with the US Army he found himself often stationed in hardship areas or deployed to interesting places, often working with chemical or nuclear weaponry. He was present in West Germany for the Fall of the Wall, the 1990 Russian Revolution, Desert Storm, and quite a few other events, including REFORGER 88. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the end of the Cold War, and Desert Storm he found himself bumped from duty station to duty station, used during the drawdown to facilitate the deactivation of small posts and special weapons sites.
Once he exited the military he went from job to job, trying to find something that not only held his interest, but he was able to perform due to injuries received line of duty while in the military. In 2000 he wrote his first RPG product for the d20 system, following it with multiple other RPG products over a period of eight years.
Now he lives in Oregon, with his wife, the children who haven’t left home yet, a sock monkey named Martin, two little yappy dogs, a cat who is convinced he is the lord and master of everything, and a hamster. He usually spends his time writing, playing with his kids or grandkids, playing RPG’s with his wife and/or friends, or watching movies, reading, or playing video games.
