Leonie began writing Black Pearl in her early mining career and chose Broome for the setting, bringing together all the places she had visited during her time working and playing in the Pilbara.There are a number of other novels bubbling away in the creative juices, ready to be written in the near future; - an Antarctic thriller is next.Leonie's interests include gardening, traveling and international Futures trading.
