Whenever I read the author descriptions I'm always amazed how many of them have always been avid readers or writers from an early age. Looking at myself then I find my journey completely different.
I have never really liked books. I did not like to read in my own time and when I had to - mostly for school - I would always find it to be an incredible chore. Don't get me wrong, I do read but mostly factual books and magazine articles, ranging from physics through biology and psychology to the crazy ideas of the quantum physics. Fiction books however, although I love fiction on the silver screen, I've always found limiting - limiting to my own imagination and ideas.
Ever since I can remember, from the early years of my childhood, my head has always been filled with fantastical stories and characters. At the time I used my drawing skills to lay down the ideas whether they were scenes from horror stories or fantastical characters and creatures from the "Middle Earth", my pen or pencil was always busy. As the time flew by I would gradually transform my skill and channel my dreams and imagination into the creation of role playing games. Some of the paper and script based RPG's became so popular that me and my brother Rado would host daily sessions playing with other kids from the neighbourhood.
Years went by and we all found different interest and things to occupy our daily lives with, whether it'd be school, jobs or women, eventually we all grew apart and stopped playing games. My imagination was shut down, deep, back into my mind when only the night time would let it run lose in the form of my crazy dreams.
It was only after the birth of my first child, baby boy Enzo, when I realised that the urge to dream and create worlds and stories has never died out. It was only dormant.
The first year was especially difficult. Lack of sleep limited to couple of hours at a time, nights broken to pieces and small fractions of rest eventually caused my body to protest and I began having lucid dreams. Though my body would be awake my mind still continued on dreaming. This was an extra difficult time for my wife. Eventually we managed to resolve it and I can enjoy proper sleep again. This experience however was not without a positive. We have both realised that my mind is still jam packed with tales that need to be told so I sat down at my PC and started writing them down. The ideas multiplied so I decided to give it a try and write. And now I love writing.lihat lebih sedikit
