The Victory movement began in 1979, with the planting of the first church in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. This soon grew to be one of the largest charismatic churches in Canada. The movement has had explosive growth over the last three decades, planting over 100 churches in North America and 2000 around the world, as well as Bible Colleges, orphanages, Christian schools, TV and Radio ministries and outreaches to the poor. The longer term objectives of Victory Churches International is to establish at least another two hundred churches across North America and another three thousand churches around the world by the year 2020.
Dr. George was born in England and Dr. Hazel was born in Australia; they met, married and became born again Christians in Canada. The Hills have two main VCI headquarters that they operate from: one in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and the other in Orange County, California, USA.
Victory is a movement that has lifted the veil of limitation and given great release to the God-given potential that has lain dormant within so many, resulting in:
