When she's not teaching, she enjoys writing, making music, gardening and being in the outdoors. She lives with her husband, Bob and two cats, Abbie and Zoey in the rural county of Gloucester in east central Virginia near the Chesapeake Bay where she enjoys boating and fishing on the York River. She has two grown children, Sarah and Bobby, who have been the inspiration for, as well as the recipients of many of her stories throughout the years. Her formal education includes a BA degree in Music Education and Pedagogy from Hollins University and a MA degree in Museum Education from The College of William and Mary. Her informal education includes a love and insatiable interest in nature and she credits her father, biologist and naturalist, for teaching her extensively about the natural world.lihat lebih sedikit
