The mountains are the most beautiful sight I have ever laid my eyes on, but the sea is something I cannot live without.
I grew up with my younger brother -- who felt and acted like he thought he should have been my older brother -- my parents, and our dog. I preferred drawing and singing over writing until I stumbled onto poetry in middle school. After we moved from southern Florida to central Florida I met an amazing girl. Teamed against each other the first day in debate class we became instant rivals, and the next week best friends. It wasn't long until our debate teacher was lamenting our new found friendship, commenting that we spent more time on drama and poetry than politics and arguments.
All through middle school we were inseparable, but high school played a different tune. We parted ways, each moving into a different school, and eventually lost touch. Yet, this was the place where I met a small group of amazing people. In this group I found three girls who would grow up to be the most amazing women I know, and my best friends. Without them I would not be who I am today.
Now I am blessed enough to still live in the Sunshine State with my two children and 4 cats. My consort and lifelong partner in crime helps me raise the cats and corral the children. He is the only person in the entire world that I think is more ridiculously silly than I am.
And those amazing women are still in my life, helping me grow, and occasionally bringing me down to earth (but only when absolutely necessary).lihat lebih sedikit
