Fiona was educated at Pretoria High School for Girls and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (formerly Natal) where she obtained a Master’s degree in Information Studies. She travelled through Europe and Israel in the 1980s pursuing her literary and historical interests.
Fiona was, until recently, a librarian at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.
