His works include: Destination Normandy: Three American Regiments on D-Day; Hitler’s Admirals; Survivors; British Merchant Seamen in the Second World War; and The RAF’s French Foreign Legion: De Gaulle, the British and the Rebirth of French Airpower 1940–1945. He has worked at Plymouth University since 1992, where he is an Associate Professor of History.
