Born in Scotland she immigrated with her husband and small daughter to New Zealand in 1966.
Bringing up her five children and also having a career in banking did not leave much time to pursue her other interests which included health and nutrition.
Although she had been brought up in a family who preferred the Homeopathic approach to healing, it was in 1999 when she was diagnosed as being Gluten intolerant that she turned once again to Holistic Healing.
Kate and her husband are both interested in natural healing and herbal medicines. On retirement from her banking career one of Kate's daughters suggested that she write a recipe book with all the tried and tested Gluten Free recipes that she was using, she felt that there must be others out there, like her mum who needed help in this area.
Kate did write that first book "Granny Kate's Gluten Free Pantry" which she made available on her web site, but over the past couple of years she has found that more and more people she meets need more information not just recipes.
Kate's main goal is to help others like herself with these challenges and to live a healthy happy life.
Kate and her husband as well as being Authors run a Health and Nutrition business which is part of their mission for people to have health, to live in healthy homes and to keep our environment healthy.lihat lebih sedikit
