Raised for the most part in the southeast of England, William Edwards has only recently developed a taste for writing poetry, although he has always enjoyed reading poetry since childhood.

It was only after falling in love with a young lady called Ramona that William began composing his own small poetic verses. William and Ramona first met at university whilst William was studying for a PhD in chemistry and Ramona for a PhD in physics. Ramona, who also spent extended periods conducting her PhD research in her homeland Romania, eventually returned to Bucharest in March 2009, as expected, in order to finish her studies. It was at this time that William began writing longer pieces in order to both express his feelings, and to reminisce on the happy times that he and Ramona had spent together.
Eventually, William built up a collection of thirty two of these poems and he decided to hand write them on scented parchment, before having them hand bound in leather as a gift for Ramona. This small, hand made volume, Ramona’s Poems, was very well received by Ramona and it was this, along with encouragement from others, which compelled William to go ahead and publish his poetic works.
Apart from poetry, William has a wide array of interests, ranging from literature to walking, and from gardening to drawing. In addition, William also has keen musical interests, being a classically trained pianist and organist, with a particular passion for Johann Sebastian Bach and Henry Purcell.
William also enjoys experiencing other cultures, being particularly interested in the Far East, and has made a point of visiting Japan five times. William’s home city is in fact twinned with a city in Japan and his trips there, which have included visits to Japanese schools and appearances on the local radio and news, have helped to informally foster relations between the two cities
William currently lives in Kent in the southeast of England. He continues to write poetry and maintains regular contact with Ramona, the inspiration for much of his work.lihat lebih sedikit
