His latest work, 'My Time Inside', offers a thoughtful and often humorous prequel to his
earlier memior. In it, he claims to have 'listened and learned' while he was a fetus. 'Enlightened' he shares his thoughts on how to make the outside world a better and happier place.
In his first book, entitled 'Get That Kid Outta Here...!', Murphy takes the reader through his childhood during the Great Depression, his runaway from home at 13 years of age and the long career in radio and television which followed...right into the 21st century.
