I have lived my entire life in Baton Rouge, La. I was raised in a close- knit family consisting of myself and 4 siblings, all raised in a one-parent home by my mother (my father died when I was only 5.) The family situation was challenging and chaotic, but also fun and joyful. My greatest dream was to grow up and raise a family of my own, so I was devastated to find out I had cancer at age 24, followed by surgery that left me unable to have children. However, by the grace of God, through adoption, I was able to have my own unique family. After years of anxiously waiting, I ended up adopting not one, but two, day-old infant girls, within 3 months of each other. Today, my husband Mark and I are the proud parents of 2 wonderful "sweet-sixteen" year-olds! Their given names are Elizabeth and Sarah Ashley; their nicknames are 'Velvet' and 'Skye.'lihat lebih sedikit
