From humble beginnings, he always showed a propensity for business but he nevertheless decided to go into teaching, which is his other passion. After serving in Jamaica and then in the USA as a high school teacher and Bible class teacher for several years, he started to become more interested in business and finance; he then subsequently started his own business in micro-finance.
