Inspired by the courage of her two-year-old niece who was diagnosed with a rare and lifelong blood disorder, Dillon wrote the book to inspire other children to be courageous and always have hope. Dance, Dani, Dance! is the first of two books Dillon has written to date. She looks forward to publishing her second book, The House with the Pond, in 2015—a heartwarming and bittersweet tale of a little boy’s adventures growing up at a house with a pond and a mother who watches him grow all too quickly.
