He taught business communication skills at the university level for more than 30 years. He is the author or co-author of 14 books and workbooks and numerous articles in refereed journals and is the principal author of "Healing with Language: Your Key to Effective Mind-Body Communication."Joel has conducted hundreds of workshops and seminars and has made both radio and television appearances.He is a Licensed Master Practitioner and Trainer of Neurolinguistic Programming(NLP) through Richard Bandler and the Society of NLP, and trainer of hypnotherapy through the American Board of Hypnotherapy (ABH). He is a Reiki Master/Teacher, and co-founder of Subtle Communication Systems, providing transformational audios, books, and trainings. He also holds the rank of San Dan in Uechi-Ryu Okinawan Karate.As a veteran of the Vietnam War, Joel has a strong sense of identification with those who have served in the military in Iraq and Afghanistan.For those who have served and have either Mild Traumatic Brain Injury or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of that service, Joel will be glad to help you diminish or eliminate the feelings of stress, anxiety, and sometimes anger associated with PTSD.
