He graduated from Iowa Wesleyan University in 1965 with a B.A degree, majoring in History and minoring in English. At Wesleyan he was a member of Sigma Tau Delta literary society. He attended the College of Law at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.
He is a retired commercial banker. This is his twelfth novel and his second stand alone novel. He has written ten novels in the Kit Andrews series.
