High school is a tough place for kids, and even adults at times. There are many stories to be found in the hallways, the classrooms, and the playgrounds of our schools. As adults we need to do a better job of listening.
Prior to this novel, I was working on a book that fictionalized the twenty-five year relationship between Nelson Algren and Simone de Beauvoir. But when a young man killed himself at the school I teach at, I knew I had to write his story, because in many ways, his story was my story.
I'm currently working on my second book See Me After Class, a short story novel that looks into the lives of all the characters that inhabit the hallways and classrooms of our schools.
I currently reside in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada. I collect books, love to cook, and love my dog- in my spare time I'm a husband.
