A graduate of Point Loma Nazarene College and Fuller Theological Seminary, he was an unlikely candidate for leading what has now become an international motorcycle ministry. Debbie Edwards is also a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene College, a registered nurse, a vital member of Black Sheep HDFC and co-author of The Saddlebag Gospels. Marty and Debbie have been married for over 35 years and have two grown sons. They make their home in Southern California.
