The family later relocated to Gardena in Southern California. He earned B.S. & M.A. degrees from Loma Linda University.
In 2001, he received his doctorate degree in Psychology from Southern California University for Professional Studies. His professional career has been a vocational rehabilitation counselor, addictive personality disorders counselor, instructor and consultant in the private sector. He is a certified C.C.M. & C.D.M.S.
