He lives in Northern Ontario with his wife, Barbara, their son Chase, and their four-legged adoptive son, Hooch, who is a large, yet friendly Dogue de Bordeaux.
He has worked as a conductor on the railway, in construction, and is currently a security guard. Richard enjoys photography and going for hikes with his own loyal companion, Hooch.
