In 1953 he received his Master of Theology from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Chicago. He was pastor of eight churches in Iowa and one in California. While serving in these churches, pastor Kinrade has seen many changes in all denominations to make worship more meaningful, inspirational, and appealing to everyone. Are these attempts and changes working? Having large thriving congregations may not mean it is working! Only God can judge His Church. This is why humility before God is of prime importance, along with a diligent study of the Scripture!
When computers came into being, pastor Kinrade saw the need to develop a computer program that would help students in his confirmation classes enjoy learning the Bible, along with our Methodist heritage and polity. He called his computer program "Fun Learning the Bible," which covered the basics of Biblical truths for all ages. Though Mr. Kinrade does not claim to be a Biblical scholar...he strongly feels a practical, humble, and realistic approach to the Word of God is necessary!
My wife Joan and I, have two sons, and 5 grandchildren. We are now living in a townhouse at Wesley Park Centre, in Newton (one of 7 such facilities in Iowa). We both enjoy listening to classical music, and especially meaningful to both of us is the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. This is how we begin each Sunday morning before going to worship at First United Methodist Church here in Newton. I so enjoy watching Turner Classic Movies; and, anything involving electronics, especially the new technology.lihat lebih sedikit
