He is the sixth child out of seven brothers and sisters. His birth was one of true prayers and triumph, surviving the misdiagnosis by doctors given to his mother during her pregnancy, which could have killed him. Godwin had a relatively normal life, while being raised in an environment similar to a farm. Although he was very much loved by his friends and family, he submerged himself in his overwhelming shyness, in order to mask the feelings of emptiness, hurt, and pain. Godwin was born into a spiritually grounded family and the timely introduction of Jesus Christ into his life, was life changing, while being plagued by his rebelliousness and temper. His journey throughout life has thus far brought an understanding of the inner self. Godwin encourages those he have met and those he have yet to meet, to charter and challenge their journey from the true starting point; which is deep within.
