She received her AB degree in Sociology from Boston College; her MA Ed./Administration from Pepperdine University; and Post Graduate studies --Specialist- Certification in Elementary Education. She is founder of Extended Hands, Inc, a non-profit organization dedicated to academic and professional advancement of those in her community. This effort has resulted in many receiving their high school diplomas, teacher certifications, graduate and undergraduate degrees.
