Before becoming a mother, she spent several years teaching mathematics and studying voice.
While her boys were growing up, she used her spare time writing poems and songs, which later found their way into two books: Poetry in Motion and “Moshiach!”--Music To My Ears.
In her post-child-rearing period, she became employed as the “Shade Lady” of Capitol Lighting in their East Hanover, New Jersey showroom,where she remained for twenty-five years before moving out of New Jersey.
