Educated in Opit Catholic primary school; St. Mary Junior Anaka; and St. Joseph Senior Layibi collage. I earned my five years Higher Diploma equated to bachelor's degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences from Mulago Hospital awarded by Makerere University (1968-1972) and my master's degree in Parasitology from; London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (1992-1992) awarded by the University of London and my Ph.D. is in Immune Parasitology from Makerere University Kampala (2002-2005). Worked as a researcher in various research institutions in various ranks and has taught in various medical institutions and university medical schools. Currently I am working as a Professor and the Head of the Microbiology and Immunology Department at Gulu University.As a scientist I have published seventy (70) scientific papers in peer review journals; a text book on the Immunology of Schistosoma mansoni. I have developed a new diagnostic method in parasitology known as Odongo-Aginya method. Other job experience include consultancy with WHO and supervision of students of post graduate and undergraduate studies in Faculty of Medicine and Science Gulu University.
