Denise Thurman was born May 30, 1964, in Bloomington, Indiana. She is the youngest of seven children. She is the youngest of seven children. She graduated from Bloomington High School North in 1982 and went on to study English and Theatre at Vincennes University and later majored in Screenwriting at Watkins Film School in Nashville, Tennessee. Her first publication was a poem entitled In the Night, included in the 1984 American Poetry Anthology. In addition to writing she also acts and looks forward to developing, directing and producing stage plays and films that make a positive difference in the lives of others. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California and attends Shepherd of the Hills Church.
