After receiving his BA in Philosophy, he studied Theology for three years, then earned an M.A. in Creative Arts Interdisciplinary Studies from San Francisco State University and an MSW from Colorado State University. He has lived and worked in Northern California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington D.C., New York, Connecticut, and Vermont. He currently lives with his wife, Linda, in Vermont where he writes and works as a hospice volunteer. He has two grown children, and enjoys traveling by bicycle, motorcycle and kayak.
