She moved to the Western Isles in 2006 through a work transfer opportunity. She has three grown up children, a son and twin daughters; She now lives in South Uist with her greyhounds and partner.
In 2012 Libby was made redundant and decided it was time to fulfil a lifelong ambition to write a novel. She attended a Crime Writer’s Workshop with Caro Ramsay, and that is where Matt MacAulay came to life.
