He has always been fascinated by faith from all cultures. Raised a reform Jew, he has studied the principles of Shamanism, Druidry, Paganism, Western Monotheism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Kabbalah. He has been a pencil and paper gamer most of his life, first playing Dungeons & Dragons in the mid-1980's, and was an avid reader of Tolkien.
