He also studied screenwriting at The American Film Institute.Mr. Braswell has been writing since age 19 when his first short story was published in Essence Magazine. He has since had poetry and short stories published in various print and online magazines.He has also written a number of plays, that have received productions in Los Angeles, New York, and New Jersey. He has won national and international awards for his screenplays. Mr. Braswell’s novel "Death Notes" is his first published, full length work.
