Ryan writes short fiction, novels, travel stories, family history, personal essays, children's books, and the occasional poem.
His stories have appeared in numerous journals, including Bananafish, Escaping Elsewhere, Heat City Review, Jersey Devil Press, Murky Fringe, NFG, and Toyon.
