Game was still plentiful including at one time, man eating Lions. My dad was very much of the old pioneer spirit, when we first moved out to what was then a very new town called Itimpi we collected water from the local river had no electricity. I was probably 9 or 10 when that area was electrified and running water arrived in the house . The town grew along with us, we made do in a world far removed from what most people knew.I was educated in boarding schools in South Africa a far cry from what I’d been used to and I may add I hated every moment of it so was never a good scholar and very much a rebel, - my heart was always in the wilds much further north. My folks tried to get me to study further, in fact I spent 18 months getting a “higher education” before rebelling and hitch-hiking out of there to start a new life with little more than pennies in my pocket.I have turned my hand to many things in very many parts of the world, always working for somebody else, while I was in Swaziland running a branch for a Swedish company I finally took the leap and headed out on my own- for the last 30 years I have run and lived off my own businesses.This my first book has taken me all of 2 1⁄2 years to write, It has been a really enjoyable experience, all I hope is that you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.lihat lebih sedikit
