Her father's love of airplanes motivated her to receive a degree in travel. While modeling for a filmmaker she was encouraged to enter the world of television and this suggestion led to her hosting her own television show. It was during this time she assumed her nickname, Kizmo, changing it from her birth name, Kim.
Kizmo writes a brand of Christian books for non-Christians and for people who feel they are unique spiritually. This includes people who want to become closer to God or those who might feel God is beyond their reach. The author shows how to solve simple everyday problems with God's help. She gives advice in a comforting way that frees stress and tension.
Through the popularity of her television show Kizmo met world renowned religious leaders, celebrities, musicians, politicians and leaders in the fields of science, religion and spirituality. Although her understanding of spirituality includes advice from experts she includes the Bible's spiritual teachings within her own stories.
After writing Chapter Six in her book Kizmo was spiritually moved to compose a song, In My Dreams. Kizmo was clueless how the song would become a reality but she trusted her communication with God by simply believing.
That tiny spec of faith reached out and attracted the attention of Ira Walker, a two-time Grammy nominated songwriter. Ira read Kizmo's site and he was moved to contact her. It amazed her how easily God had connected her to a songwriter and someone so talented. After all, Ira has recently been nominated for a Grammy as a producer, singer/songwriter and already co-wrote a song with Eddie Money. One of Ira's aspirations is to mentor untapped talent and God had made an amazing connection for Kizmo through Ira. She'd never written a song before and she wasn't a musician or a singer, but she believed the song was divine inspiration and now her song is set to become a stellar song worthy of platinum. Kizmo is on a mission to help people by encouraging them and she offers presentations and seminars on a variety of topics. Taking an eclectic approach, she blends true life stories and knowledge gained through prayer as her foundation. She shares perspectives that are both practical and spiritual and can be applied to work, relationships, unemployment, illness, and other common everyday situations. Her philosophies have helped pastors, corporate executives, stay-at-home moms, teachers, celebrities, Guru’s, singers, psychologists and those searching for spiritual guidance.
She now maintains a quiet lifestyle in Northern California while writing the sequel to More Than a Wish. She is currently collaborating on a cooking show due to air in February of 2013. When asked to describe herself, she replies, “I love to laugh.” Learn more about Kizmo at her websites;
