Sherry grew up an orphan and spent most of her life in foster homes. She longed to have her own family only to realize that dream was taken from her. She realized how she felt about this through writing poetry during these painful years. She always had a deep yearning to love someone that she could call her own. This all changed when she had a son in 1984 that she named Preston. Preston was her family and this touched her soul and was the piece of her heart that made it whole.
