Much of Ecorse�s history can only be found in the archives of the now-defunct Ecorse Advertiser, in scattered manuscripts, and in the memories of older citizens. John Duguay and Morris �Sandy� Blakeman were two Ecorse photographers who accumulated a photographic record of Ecorse from the 1950s through the 1970s.
