Her love of the area�s history and her sense of commitment to place brought her back after earning a Ph.D. in the history of the American West at the University of Oregon. Benedict now works as a historical consultant and serves as president and coordinator of the Lemhi County Historical Society and Museum, which has provided the images for this volume.
