In working on my master's thesis, I chose a topic that I felt had not been looked at before and that was how these two prominent men of their era used their news organs to attack each other. These men had the same idea in mind and that was to lead the African American people of that time to a positive outlook on life. If they had only worked together there is no telling where the people would have gone.
In working on this research, I have come to understand more about Garvey and his dream for Aftrican Americans. Eventhough he did not succeed in his dream, his idea of Africa for the Africans was done with good intentions.
I am a professor of English at a prominent university in the great state of Louisiana. This research is very close to my heart in that Marcus Garvey and W.E.B. DuBois have always fascinated me in the way that they went about trying to help the people of their time. They were both strong men with strong viewpoints, but they just went about it in different ways.lihat lebih sedikit
