Several prior generations of her family also lived their entire lives in Cuba and surrounding villages. As a young woman, she left Cuba to pursue an education, have a family and develop a career. She earned a Master’s degree in Folklore at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1981, Esther and her husband returned to Cuba to manage the family cattle ranch. She also continued to add to her storehouse of verbal accounts and photographs about the period “before” World War II, the world of “Antes.”lihat lebih sedikit
