As in 2019 March before the pandemic 13 Hours To Baghdad {based on real events} was distributed to book stores across South Africa, and the 'Book Trade' including Exclusive Books; as well as in libraries across SA in most provinces and occasionally private practice doctors rooms.The book trade refers to all branches across South Africa of Exclusive Books, Wordsworth Books, Bargain Books, Adams, PNA bookshops and most independent bookshops via a book distributer in Cape Town. 13 Hours To Baghdad, Riding Wolf and Nkhasi & The Chocolate River was found in Gateway Exclusive Books, Bargain Books Ballito, Umhlanga and Westwood Mall in Durban as well as across South Africa.In 2006 she did a radio interview, broadcasting and advertising course for a month by Durban based Bruno's Recording Associates. In 2019 she was featured on four radio stations to promote the release of her books that included live calls, book give aways and in studio interviews. In 2015 the KZN, PMB, South Coast, Durban City Hall Library and the Northern andWestern Cape libraries amongst others have started stocking books of C.K Kara novels.In October 2019 Chanisse Kara was featured on SABC's Senzo and Alan's Walk The Talk on Lotus FM for a one hour interview in which she also contributed to the questionnaire of the interview, of which allowed her to give advice to aspiring writers on the self publishing and traditional publishing industry. The title featured; 13 Hours To Baghdad was placed in the Durban University of Technology library after the on air interview with live calls. She was also featured on SABC drive time with Varshan Sookhan in June 2019 youth month.In 2019 book launches for 13 Hours To Baghdad have taken place on Women’s Day, Youth Day Exclusive books King Shaka Airport and Easter Weekend Bargain Books Westwood Mall with features on SABC Lotus FM.Public book launches have taken place in venues such as the mall, King Shaka Airport, Mitchell Park Book Fair, The Unesco Book and Art Fair launch for Articulate Africa, and 2022 August Sibiya Sun International with the Durban International Book Fair, Ballito Lifestyle centre and schools have also hosted book signings in 2019 with media coverage. Her feature in 2023 Suncoast Durban International Book fair took place in August women’s month with a published short story African fiction Memoirs of a thousand hills published at the fair.In May 2021 private schools and more government libraries have taken on two dark fantasy titles; Red Riding Wolf and the Pyramid Scheme, in Durban and Johannesburg. In February 2022 C.K Kara wrote the motivational speech for new writers starting out entitled The Art Of Never Giving Up And Giving In which was published in the local papers and in books that went to schools, libraries and bookstores.In March 2021 Articulate Africa book and art fair festival was hosted by the government libraries and allowed the author to showcase the journey of self publishing to aspiring writers via an online interview book launch.In September 2021 library week hosted C.K Kara in Musgrave Durban for the launch of two dark fantasy titles that made it into schools and libraries; Red Riding Wolf and The Pyramid Scheme. In August 2022 during women’s month Unesco Durban city of literature hosted C.K Kara on the Durban International Book Fair program for the launch of three titles and the motivational speech for new writers starting out. The event was covered by Newsbreak Lotus FM for women’s month and the promotion of reading for the youth and the impact of women writers during this month.In January 2022 three hundred copies of fantasy spin off Red Riding Wolf was sold across SA which totaled to four hundred copies with the 2019 release of 13 Hours To Baghdad across SA. In June 2022 Exclusive books La Lucia Mall hosted a book launch for fantasy spin off Red Riding Wolf with a feature covered by the Independent Online.In 2023 Exclusive Books hosted the book signing for the Zulu and English Kids African fantasy book Nkhasi & The Chocolate River which was originally written for a TV Commercial.In August 2023 Exclusive Books La Lucia Mall hosted CK Kara for a fourth book signing for crime fiction 13 Hours On Trial during women’s month.In 2015 during a trial testing period over three thousand free downloads were visible for the Crime Fiction book Pyramid Scheme on Itunes, as well as downloads from Germany, USA , Denmark, U.K and Canada on Amazon Kindle.C.K Kara now holds book store launches for the book, as well as radio interviews and public book fairs to promote the novels, with newspaper features of the book in The Independent On Saturday, The Tabloid News, Sunday Tribune, The Mercury, The Durban North News, The Post, Northglen news, The Rising Sun, Umhlanga Magazine, Sibiya Sun International Durban Book Fair, and Independent Online.
