After earning a bachelor's degree in communications and a master's in business, and working in the corporate world for a few years, she traveled to Spain to teach English. On her trip, she began blogging as a way to keep in touch with her friends and family back home-and so her life as a writer began. Aside from traveling and writing, all of Dena's other interests involve food: cooking, eating, watching shows about food, reading books on holistic nutrition and occasionally attempting to grow/ferment things in jars.
