The Predominant Inattentive type demonstrates as difficulties performing tasks, paying attention, organizing tasks and following directions. The person may forget details of performing tasks or may become distracted from the task at hand. The Predominantly Hyperactive or Impulsive type has difficulty sitting still, may run around constantly, and find many outlets for physical activity rather than sit in one place. The person may also interrupt people in conversation, grab things away from people at inappropriate times or speak out of turn. The impulsivity can demonstrate as frequent accidents or injuries. The Combined type of ADHD can show all of these symptoms in approximately equal amounts. Terence has been married for nine years to a wife that suffers from ADHD and it is his self-taught expertise that has allowed him to have a long and healthy relationship.
