As a student in college, I always struggled to find a path to follow. There was always so much to consider - from the harmonies of Physics and Music to the mannerisms of History and English, and plenty more besides. I can get absorbed in any subject. I probably changed my major upwards of a half-dozen times, and I moved schools twice. Nothing seemed to fit.
All throughout that time, though, I knew I loved to write. It’s always been that way for me. I dream up characters, I write them into stories, and I evaluate the result. In college, I wrote about people who were lost and about people who were looking for things, which quickly developed into my largest project ever attempted. A portion of that project has now become my first published novel, Twenty Years’ Past.
I also enjoy music – playing and composing. I see it as a more powerful form of storytelling. I play and teach piano and handbells, plus I’m kind of addicted to ear-copying recordings. I compose the same way that I write – in an organic, character-driven process. They’re dual inspirations.lihat lebih sedikit
