Ed has been free of drugs and alcohol for ten years. He enrolled at Los Angeles City College in 1996 and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology in 1999. He is past Vice-President and President of the Cal State Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Black Social Workers.
