He obtained his bachelors in Philosophy and Theology as part of his training for the priesthood in Nigeria. He did his licentiate in Fundamental theology and his doctorate in Systematic theology in Madrid Spain. His interest in the efforts to deepen the Catholic faith in the life and culture of his native people of the sub-Saharan Africa motivated his investigation into the ancestral cult as one of the basic tenets of the African thought which could be very useful in the task of inculturating the Christian gospel. He believes that the efforts of many theologians that have tried to underscore the relevance of the basic values of the African thought in the furtherance of the Christian faith must be appreciated. While the pastoral life of the author in Africa and Europe influenced his delving into such area of studies, his ministry in the U.S. has determined the desire to publish this work. The author enjoys and participates in conferences and talks that deal with culture and religion.lihat lebih sedikit
