She focused on cultural diversities in the treatment of substance abuse. Carmelita dedicated much of her life to spiritual growth and development through her church, prayer group, meditation classes, family and friends. She also created her own LLC, Transformation Unlimited to assist her clients through professional coaching and personal development. Carmelita produced her own meditation CD’s, hosted a website, and began teaching a psychotherapy internship class at Linden Wood University.
Carmelita was a spiritually diverse individual. During her childhood she was a member of Longview United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. As an accomplished classical pianist, violinist, and organist she often played for church. She was educated in a Catholic school and a Jesuit University. She became a member of Unity Christ Church in St. Louis, Missouri. Carmelita was very active in all of her churches and board work program development concerning spiritual growth.
