Russey and late Corean Freeman, was born in Chidester, Arkansas, August 23, 1930.She is the oldest of seven children. On Nov. 23, 1949, she was married to Robert L. Marshall in Rockford, Illinois. They had five sons, Robert JR. (deceased), Kenneth, (deceased) Dennis, Leon, Craig. She is the proud grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of nine. She became a member of Bethel Baptist Church, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Bethelettes Singers. In 1974 she moved to Malvern Arkansas and became a member of the First Baptist Church Vine Street. She served as a Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir, was the pianist and organist as well as the Youth Director working with the youth in the South West District Association. In June 1976 she joined Saint Mark Baptist Church in Hot Springs Arkansas, organized a junior choir, was president of the Missionary society, Deaconess, and became Assist. Director to counsel unwed teenage mothers. In 1998 she joined Greenwood Baptist Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where she served as President of the Missionary society, Musician, and many other committees. She taught Bible class for the Senior Citizens at her place of residence. She was a member of a play entitled The Witness" in Hot Springs, Arkansas. In 2002 she moved to Newark, Delaware, joined the Rock of ages Missionary Baptist Church and served there as a teacher, Deaconess, chairperson for the Black History program. She also served as President of the Senior Citizen Center in New Castle, Delaware and taught Bible class where she lived in Wilmington, Delaware. In October 2005 God spoke to her and told her to "move to Albuquerque." She was obedient and now attends New Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church. She's a member of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry, the Director and Teacher of New Members and Baptizing Ministry. In 2009 received a Citizen Award from the Ministerial Fellowship of Albuquerque and Vicinity. She has found much joy in teaching and speaking to individuals about the love of Jesus Christ.
