Matthew also studied writing and drama while attending college at Bob Jones University. It is through the use of drama that Chel & Riley first became a reality. In an effort to develop a new and fresh approach to Vacation Bible School, Matthew created the character's of Chel & Riley. Their adventures were used to connect the VBS materials with the kids and act as a continuing thread so that the children would return each night to hear what happened next. It was after the second adventure that Matthew decided that the adventure might even make an exciting youth novel. Matthew then took the outlines for the improvisational skits and turned them into The Great Mountain Adventure. Chel & Riley have played out 9 adventures so far over the last 10 years at Matthew's home church in Morgantown, Indiana. The local kids and adults look forward to every summer to see what new and exciting trouble the two get into.lihat lebih sedikit
