Florence Champagne, also known as “Dutchess,” to family and friends, went back to school as an adult to finish the education she once started. She achieved a Bachelor of Individualized Study (BIS) Degree in Art Therapy from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Howard University in Washington, DC.
Florence resides in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. She has one adult son. Throughout her professional career, she has taught special education to children with emotional and behavioral disorders, worked with youth programs, and she has provided social services to the elderly in nursing homes and the non-profit arena. She currently works for the U.S. House of Representatives, providing constituent services for Maryland’s 4th Congressional District.
As a heart survivor, Florence wears her heart on her sleeve, so to speak, as she serves as a support group coordinator and facilitator for WomenHeart , a National Coalition of Women living with heart disease. She does speaking engagements, and promotes education, advocacy, and awareness of the number one killer, heart disease.lihat lebih sedikit
