He retired from active litigation practice at the end of 2011 after trying numerous jury cases to verdict.
During the entirety of his practice and in his retirement he has indulged his avocations as an amateur historian, educator and public speaker.
He lived in Madrid from 1963 to 1964 and from 1968 to 1969. Since then he has returned regularly to Spain and travels multiple times each year to Central and South America.
Mr. Field has extensive experience as a cruise line destination and enhancement lecturer, has sailed with numerous cruise lines and has lectured on a wide range of topics including Spanish and Latin American history and culture, geology, meteorology, oceanography, volcanology, the Panama Canal, South American politics, Latin American political figures and several Cuba topics.
